"La Anita"
was founded in the heart of the Yucatán
Peninsula, Mexico on 1913. Yucatán, where
the mayan civilization blossomed,
has a special culture we preserve in our products
by using original ingredients and preparation
methods. One of the delicious recipes,
from our Mayan ancestors that can be prepared
with "La Anita" products is "Cochinita
Pibil", a seasoned pork dish.
Our founder was Doña
Ana Sosa de Mendez who, here in Mérida,
began the homemade preparation of condiments,
faithfully following the Mayan tradition.
We proudly have kept Doña
Anita’s name for the company and
our products.
